Growing up, I always thought that Kroger was trashy, and it took a long time for me to shake that stigma. I had to move away and start grocery shopping for myself to realize that it wasn’t Kroger—it was my hometown.
The number one selling point? Their organic/health/vegetarian/vegan section is amazing. In no other standard grocery store can I find Amy’s No Cheese Pizza, Tofutti’s Better Than Cream Cheese, Silk Soy Milk, and Veggie Patch Chick’n Nuggets all in one convenient section. Yeah, it’s a little strange when sometimes the Soyrizo and tofu are in that weirdo-section-by-the-salad, but I’ll totally take that quick trip through the produce, because hey, at least they have it.
